Fuel Your Love With M.W. Sewall
Delivering warmth and love this winter

We brought the warmth and love this winter, and we’re still smiling about it!
When our delivery truck rolled up to several homes across our service area on Friday, February 14, our customers were expecting a routine propane delivery. What they got instead was something altogether different.
Our team – delivery driver Dan, customer service rep Tatum Rollins, and our operations manager Ed Hughes – showed up with a truck decorated with “Fuel Your Love” signs, arms full of flowers and chocolates, and the news that their propane fill-up was completely free.
“We had to lie to you!” we told them with a laugh as we explained what was really going on. The looks on their faces were absolutely priceless.
This was our annual initiative participating in the “Fuel Your Love” event, which has been running for twelve years now through the Maine Energy Marketers Association. Energy providers across the state join in, surprising customers with free fuel, flowers, and chocolates around Valentine’s Day.
The best part? Getting to celebrate those community members who often work behind the scenes, making our towns better places to live without seeking recognition.

As Ed put it while we were driving between deliveries: “We’re just trying to help good people.”
There’s something special about seeing a customer realize what’s happening – that moment when they understand their fuel company sees them as more than just an account number. It creates a genuine connection that goes far beyond business as usual.
The impact is practical, too. Each tank we filled completely – around 150 to 175 gallons on average – provides warmth and comfort for weeks during the coldest part of the Maine winter. The flowers and chocolates brighten the day, but the fuel keeps on giving.
We’ve always believed that being a local fuel provider comes with a responsibility to care for our neighbors. The “Fuel Your Love” program fits perfectly with who we are at M.W. Sewall, and we’re already looking forward to next year.
